Project Summary
Between 2010 and 2011, Telmaco executed the turnkey relocation and upgrade of Sigma TV’s broadcast operations into a new purpose-built facility in Nicosia. The project included infrastructure design, integration of legacy equipment, installation, workflow engineering, commissioning, and training. Continuity services were successfully transferred in March 2011, followed by the complete operation in May 2011—without a single on-air interruption. A subsequent upgrade in 2012 expanded the facility to four channels, including HD broadcasting.

Overview
Sigma TV, a leading national broadcaster in Cyprus, required a modern broadcast hub that could centralize news, production, playout, archive, and channel management. Telmaco designed and pre-built the systems in Athens before deploying on-site, ensuring a seamless migration and integration of legacy devices. The result was a future-ready SD/HD infrastructure that enabled uninterrupted broadcast operations and positioned Sigma for expansion into HD and multi-channel services.

Continuity and Channel Management
Provys TV Office for scheduling and rights management integrated with playout automation; continuity system prepared for multiple channels.
