The Independent Power Transmission Operator (IPTO S.A.), as part of the modernization of its facilities, has entrusted Telmaco with replacing its legacy mimic diagrams with state-of-the-art Barco video walls across three Energy Control Centers for the monitoring, operation, and control of the National Interconnected Power Generation and Transmission System.
Project Scope
The overall scope of the project includes:
- Modernization of the National Energy Control Center (NECC), the Southern Regional Energy Control Center (SRECC) in Agios Stefanos, Attica, and the Northern Regional Energy Control Center (NRECC) in Ptolemaida.
- Removal of the existing, old-technology mosaic walls.
- Supply, installation, and commissioning of three (3) Barco OVL-815 video walls (DLP/LED), each measuring 12.80 m × 3.60 m with a 5-degree curvature.
- Image display in each center supported by two (2) Barco video wall controllers with management software (primary and backup), featuring automatic failover in case of malfunction.
- Supply, installation, and commissioning of visualization systems comprising two (2×1) 86-inch LCD displays.
- Supply, installation, and commissioning of new operator consoles in the control rooms, along with removal and disposal of legacy equipment.
- Supply, installation, and commissioning of a new lighting system in the control rooms.
- Construction of an appropriate enclosure for the wall displays within the control rooms.
- Supply, installation, and commissioning of air-conditioning units in the enclosed area behind the wall displays to ensure optimal operation.
- Provision of training services for IPTO personnel.
- Provision of maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical support services for the entire project for sixty (60) months following Final Acceptance.
